Avatar?

I have tried to upload a new avatar, but without success. I saw that the picture has to be no larger than 120x120, but even at those dimension the size is bigger than 9K. Any ideas on how to make a small enough image, so I can upload a picture?

that is such a pain I know. what I did was use google's picasa. under the picture you want, there is an icon for Export. if you click that, you can resize it kind of. it's trial and error to get it the right size though.

If you are using Micro$oft Windoze:
Use IRFANVIEW (a free graphics program) to resize it and if it's a jpg to save it at a lower quality. That will make the size small enough.

I usuall just use Photoshop to make images smaller. I read somewhere else that the max size is 80x80 and 5K. I guess I'll have to try that, and if that doesn't work, I'll try picasa. Thanks

After failing several times to make the image small enough in Photoshop, I uploaded it in photobucket, and resized it there. I finally have an avatar!
