BACKWASH VALVE TYPE: WHICH IS PREFERRED FOR DE FILTRATION

I use DE for my filtration. I have a 3/4 HP Whisperflo Filter Pump...

My old brass Push-Pull Backwash Valve is broken and I need to replace.

Which is easier to install, easier to use and easier to maintain: Push-Pull valves or the Multiport valves.

Comments, please?

Multi-position rotary valves are better, especially with DE. It is really nice to be able to vacuum to waste, or run in recirculate mode, and having rinse is especially good for DE filters.

I don't want to "pile on", but a 6 position multiport is the way to go!!!! 8)
