TA 400 is that okay

I just received my TF100 test kit and here are my readings:

PH: 7.8
FC: 9
CC: 1
CL: 5
TA: 400
CYA: 25

The pool calculator did not indicate that I needed to do anything. But it shows my TA should be 100-120, mine is 400 and yet it did not tell me to do anything. Just wanted you expertise thoughts on this.

I am so glad I found this site. I have had horrible experiences in the past two years with the pool store. I am hoping to have a nice clear pool this year since I have found this site.

doglover,

do the TA test again and this time wipe the dropper tip in between every few drops. That test has a static electricity issue that sometime results in smaller drops which may have skewed your results.

Hey doglover,

They got you covered on your TA.

Have you been shocking your pool? Your CC of 1 indicates a need to shock. If you need to know how, just ask.

How does your water look?

Also, I'd knock that pH down to around 7.4-ish.

Your horrible-experiences-with-the-pool-store days are over!

Congrats on your TF100 test kit and welcome to the forum
