CC high after SLAM

Hi all,

So we had a full algae bloom and SLAMed the pool for a week. Water was totally clear and FC read 17, CC 0, passed overnight test.

Let it drift down for 30 hours and now the reading is

FC 2
CC 1.5-2
TA 80
pH 7.5
CYA 30

What does the CC reading indicate...am I going to have to start a new SLAM? I really dont want to...its almost time to close the pool

Bring your FC up to around 6 ppm and HOLD IT THERE for maybe 48 hours or so. Then test CC's again.....my thinking is they will be .5 ppm or less.

It may indicate that you still have hidden algae in your pool, did you check low circulation areas like under steps, ladders, and in light niches?

Did you add anything else to your pool such as algaecide?

Didnt add anything but the liquid shock/bleach.

Raised it up to 8 for 24 hours and tested again today and CC was 0 so we are good to go. Thanks.
