Whitening is just another attribute of bleach. The contents of both containers are identical, or at least the difference in negligible.

There is just a tad more <8oz> in the new "white" label than the other "blue" label Great Value bottle for the same price! It's the only difference besides the new label.

Just bought some of the new Great Value this weekend.

$2.54 for 182 OZ 6%..

I think that may be just a hare more though than the 256OZ of 12& for $6.54 at K-Mart.

I quit buying my local K-Mart brand of bleach as the labels did not indicate the % strength on them. I have my pool bleach requirements down to a science now and noticed I was unable to reach my maintenance level of chlorine using the quantities of bleach I was used to using. Thats when I searched the label, looking for the strength and there was none. Like others have said, if it isn't indicated, I assume it's 3% or less.
