We just recently purchased an older hot tub (I have had experience with them previously but it has been a long time). We got it all hooked up and filled and when we turn it on the water drains out of the filter area and does not fill back up until it is turned off. It does not completely drain. We just want to know if that is normal or not, we do not want to go and call someone if that is suppose to happen.

That does not sound normal, if you could give us more information though it would be helpful, brand, model, age, or post a photo.
