Just wondering what everyone does with their pool equipment over the winter. I live in Central Kansas so it does get cold and snowy. I have the pump, booster pump and a SWG. Should i disconnect these and bring them inside or is there a better way to store them? Will they be OK left on or will they wear out faster that way? Thanks in advance!

All my equipment is in a shed attached to the house, but if I had it exposed to the elements I would disconnect

Last year was our first year. I took all the hoses off, removed all the plugs and then covered everything. All that stuff went inside the garage. Pump stayed outside and I did not remove the valve spider gasket. I wonder if I need to remove the gasket this year?
Would you remove the spider gasket?
