Hayward northstar t ring

Does anyone have any tips for getting this pump basket to seal. I even bought an entirely new lid with new t seal, lubed it up and it still suckling air. This model has no o ring that I can see just a t shaped seal that fits ina groove in the basket lid.

Try tightening the lid further with the pump running. When removing it, you may need to loosen it the same way.

It won't budge anymore. At least by hand. Hmm.

The basket area could be warped or have crack.

Did you check the union o-ring in front of pump

I have not but if I use a hose an run it over the lid the bubbles go away, must be something going on with warping or something like Mark said. I might have someone come take a look that knows more than I do about these things.
