Possible rebar stain after replaster

Hi,

I just had my pool replastered on friday and during the replaster the pool company fixed some cracks and installed rebar as a means to prevent future cracking. After they were finished the pool looked great but as I filled the pool, 24 hours later I noticed 4 brownish spots near where one of the cracks use to be. My question is it even possible for rust to come through the plaster this soon or might it be something else other than rust. I will try and take a picture of the spots this afternoon.

Sorry I couldn't get better photos. I forgot and took photos after I brushed the plaster dust off of the walls and stuff. However the photo of the mark on the step is the same as the ones on the pool floor only they are slightly larger.
