Doughboy EZ Clip Liner

I have a Doughboy pool (installed in July) that was recessed into the ground. This weekend, we discovered two places where there appears to be something behind the liner, on the wall about 6" below water, that seems to be close to poking through. The liner is an EZ Clip liner. Is there anyway that anything could get behind the liner? Here is a pic for reference of what I'm referring to. Look dead-center and you'll see a little nodule sticking into pool.

Edit: Should've mentioned this pool was installed "professionally," not by me. More or less, I'm trying to make 100% sure this is an installer issue

Stuff behind liners isn't too uncommon, but could cause an issue if it is sharp enough to poke through.
