We just built a new pool and I've been following the TFP methods. So far everything has gone smoothly.

The question I have is about adding liquid chemicals. I've been adding chemicals in front of a return on the wall of the pool with the pump running because that's what pool school recommends. However, when the pool builder trained me, they recommended leaving the in floor cleaners running and pouring chemicals into the deep end. The in floor cleaner heads are the return in that case. Is there any reason not to add chemicals that way?

The problem with using the returns in the wall is that I have to open the valve for the wall returns and then remember to turn it back to the cleaning system when I'm done.

Thanks
