Non working SWG and dirt collecting more often at bottom of pool

Hello
Having a bad pool year. First the SWG went ( 7 years old ) and now the heat pump. I believe with the SWG not working that the salt in the pool is collecting more dirt than what would normally be there. Have a bet with the wife so appreciate any feedback

If you bet that saltier water will attract more dirt, you'd better shine your shoes and put on good slacks.....you are taking her to Ruth's Chris Steak House and she is NOT paying.

PS - been a member for 8 years and still don't want to tell us where you live or the particulars of your pool ? Yikes! We don't bite.

+1 saltwater doesn't get any dirtier than not salt water. There is really no pool that doesn't have salt in it. Salt comes from tap water, bleach, muriatic acid, people. Salt is everywhere.
