Bug Spray

I don't know where to place this, so I figure this would be the best place.
I noticed some spiders (with egg sacs) on the edge of the pool. I really didn't know what to do, so I grab some spider spray and spray it around the entire rim of the pool. Did I screw up? I believe maybe a little bit of spray got into the water to boot. What should I do? Is it safe to still swim in the pool? I need advice.

It is fine. I killed a black widow on the waterfall earlier this year and we have lots of other spiders and sometimes ants and other bugs. I usually spray some Home Defense around the pool and coping a few times a year.
