Pool equipment in the shade?

Would this help with high pool temps?
Our pool is shaded after 4PM but the equipment gets full sun most of the day.
Your thoughts? I may build a pergola over the equipment pad.

No, there isn't enough surface area in the above ground portion of the plumbing to heat the pool.

With that said, it's a great idea to have your equipment sheltered from the elements to promote longevity.

You can try cooling off the water by using your fountains or jets. If you dont have any fountains / jets, you can incorporate them cheaply using one of the implements that connect to your return. Many different models on Amazon.

Not sure how much this will lower your pool temp, but aeration can also increase pH of the water.

Our pool becomes warm too but we like it that way
