Cloudy pool won't clear.

Am helping a neighbor with pool, but having a problem getting it clear.

Pool was green with algae when closed in fall, CYA was over 100.

Opened this spring to white cloudy water and a CYA of 60

Shocked pool for 3 days at 25 and then maintained at 8, there are no CC's present.

Current readings:
Cya - 60
CL 8
Ph 7.2
TA 100
Calcium 150
TA 100

Problem is that the cloudiness has not filtered out in 2 weeks.

Tried 2 doses of clarifier (cationic polymer), on sunday and again today but only slight improvement

Any suggestions?

Are you no longer losing more than 1ppm of fc overnight? If not you are not done shocking.

To expand a little on what dravenone said, either you still have living algae, or the filter isn't working correctly. Doing an overnight FC loss test can tell you if you still have living algae.
