I have approximately 30,000 gallon in ground pool. I need to replace my pump and would like some recommendations. The pump has to pull the water from 1.5" pipe approximately 75' up a slight incline. I currently have a 1.5 hp pump. Do I need a larger pump? Do I need a special pump that will last with a salt water system? The reason I ask is that my pool is almost 2 years old and the pool guy said that's typical for salt water pumps. Please help!

I have a SWG and my pump is over 10 years old so that is total BS.
But first, why do you need to replace your pump? If your motor quit on you, it is pretty easy to just replace a motor especially when the pump is only 2 years old.
