We have a Centurion 3/4 HP switchless motor that started making a "different" noise. It's not really a high pitched noise, just different than how it normally sounds. We forgot to put filter basket back in the pump/filter area for 1 1/2 days. Could this have broke my pump if sand/trash/etc. got in somehow..?...or can nothing get in and forgetting the basket has nothing to do with it...? I turned it off and don't know if I should run it anyway or if it needs repairs/replacing.
