Bought the house about 1 year ago. Did what the previous owner did (pucks in skimmer).
I now understand CYA and have a good test kit. My CYA has started to creep up to 60. I stopped the pucks, and started using Bleach.
I don't want to mess with a major drain at this point (I drain some for winter).
Am I OK at 60 CYA now and using Bleach, or do I need to do something else? Does keeping the cover on help? Anything else to keep the CYA from getting an higher?
