Using the tf 100 test kit how long do you wait after adding drops to test cc levels to read the pink color. When I first add the drops the water stays clear. A couple minutes later the water turns slightly pink equal to .5 ppm. Never higher.

If it is clear directly after the 5th drop assuming you are swirling or have speed stir then you don't have any CC. It will turn slightly pink after a bit of time as you have discovered that is normal and not an indication of CC
The FC test will do the same, turn from clear at the end of the test to slight pink if allowed to sit for a min or two

you need to test for CC immediately after completing the FC test.
If you wait until the water turns pink again, you waited too long.
