balance between TA and PH

pool size - 28500
CYA 25
Chlorine 4
TA-90 PH 7.8


My PH is fluctuating between 7.5 to 7.8 . it did reach to 8 but i added dry acid and now its fine. but TA is low. its 90. not sure if I should add baking soda to bring it up. as that is again going to bring PH up. please suggest.

Also CYA is 25. I do not add any other shock powders . Use only laundry bleach. do i have to bring the CYA up?

How are you testing? Can you add that to your signature?

Yes, you should probably bring CYA up to at least 30.

If your PH is creeping up, you don't ...do not, want to raise your TA. You may actually find it needs to be lower. But just focus on the PH adjustments and your TA and PH should find a happy spot.

Thanks. I use TFtestkit. I have Basic 1000 for PH testing .

Recommended TA is 50-90
Pool School - Recommended Levels

Let it drop, adding acid to lower PH will also lower your TA.
