Anyone know what size bearings the Hayward SP2302VSP pump uses?

I have a hayward pump that's a little over a year old. After being on for a few hours it will make a really high pitched whine. Is it possible it's the shaft seal or is it bearing for sure?

Does anyone know what size bearings it uses so I can find something without taking it apart? Only the whole motor assembly is available from hayward, and the prices I found were more than an entire new pump, no way I'm doing that.

Something else, I just noticed if I bump the pump up to max speed, then back down to the 1900rpm that it runs at all day, the noise will be gone (for the time being). I'm going to order a shaft seal and try that.

I wouldn't expect the bearings on a pump that is only 1 year old but infant mortality is always a possibility. I wouldn't expect the seal to make that kind of noise since it is surrounded by water. Have you opened the pump up to see if there is anything stuck or broken in the wet end?

Wooo, it was the shaft seal. The I thought the impeller would be pressed on, but it turns out it is screwed on even though there are no fittings to hold the impeller or shaft. That took a while to figure out.
