New water startup

Looked by didn't find anything on new water startup.
Drained and refilled for the first time. Spa about 6 months old.
Have a start up chem kit but i wasn't present when they filled.
Any basic chemical add to start with?
We are on well water.

Are you going with a bromine or chlorine spa?

Also... if you've never done so, consider a deep cleaning of the spa plumbing using a spa flush product. Ahh-some jetted spa and hot tub cleaner is the best I've ever used.

I don't do anything special.

1. start up with dichlor chlorine granules. put 3ppm fc to start, then 10 more after a good long soak.

2. keep a good watch on ph. running the air jets makes it go up at first for me, so I wait for the water to breathe for a while before i correct. Also, keep in mind, dichlor is an acid that you'll be adding for a while.
