renovating a gunite pool- finding inexpensive waterline tile

Hi everyone!

I just bought a foreclosure that has a gunite pool with major waterline level issues. The concrete coping around the perimeter is loose on one entire side as if water was leaking between the waterline tiles ( hence many are missing!)
I found some pool workers at a local condo assoc. who were completely redoing the club's pool and they have told me for $ 1800. labor only, they will remove all the tiles and install new ones, acidize the walls and remove the side of the pool deck that has sunk 10" ( about 20 ') and replace. I am wondering how this job is to be done properly, so that I know they are repairing this puppy correctly! They don't speak much English, so I am walking lightly here! Also, any suggestions for inexpensive waterline tile sellers? Thanks to all who reply.
Cheers,
Lori
