Algae on pool toys

If there is the possibility of hidden algae on pool toys, Life vests etc., can the algae be transferred back to the pool if these have completely dried in the sun over several days?

I believe the answer is yes.

Yeah, it seems like that is the concensus, spray them with some diluted bleach, give them a brush, rinse and toss them in the pool.

Yes...mix chlorine or bleach in a spray bottle say one or two ounces per 1/2 gallon bottle, spray down toys life vests etc, then either rinse or throw in pool while shocking the pool. Should take care of it.

Hey Jamie, sorry to hear that you went through SLAMing. Good learning experience at least, haha.

If you take the pool to mustard algae shock level in future, try putting everything in the pool for an hour or so. Figure out a way to sink it all (e.g. a couple of ropes tied with an old sock full of rocks on each end). Poke it all around a few times with the brush so the shock level water gets all over everything repeatedly. (just a few tricks I bumped into from some other threads)

Kill that algae, kill it real good It's so nice once it's all gone!!
