baquacil to salt conversion help

We have a 30ft round above ground pool that is 2 years old and has been baquacil only. We decided to switch to the salt system and bought the salt system and the needed cholorine to help with the transition. Our pump is totally apart and clean from all residue. We will be adding new sand and we need to know what else it will take to convert our pool over. Our pool is halfway full of water, and we have not removed the cover or done anything yet. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, KB,

Welcome to the forum. A recent set of test results for your pool would be helpful. How does your water look?

Generally, if your water tests fine and looks crystal clear, it's time to change the sand and you're converted.

Read carefully. I don't think they have started the conversion at all yet.

If the sand is already changed, but the baquacil has not been removed from the water yet, the sand would need to be changed again at the end.
