After one week of opening-HOW AM I DOING???

After pulling off the winter cover on AGP Vinyl 16' we found small leaks that sediment had entered water. Not big deal but vac to waste took care of most of it.
My pool store says TA range can be 125-160. When I first tested it it read 170.
I added another 4lbs Borax and adjusted pH down to 7.8. Trying to reduce TA some I added more acid and did some aeration and here are my readings. Is my pool store TA range too high?
Whats next. Water looks real good now.

I would never intentionally raise TA much above 120, but in an above ground pool higher TA levels shouldn't cause any significant problems.

Whats next.

Get your CYA tested. The chlorine will quickly be depleted from your pool if your CYA is too low. The chlorine will be ineffective if your CYA is too high.

Since I wanted to maintain a good borate level after 30% winter drain down, I added additional Borax. This increased my TA how much? I don't see anyway to avoid increase in TA when and if Borax is added. Thanks

Adding borates does raise your TA level, but only by a little, perhaps 5 ppm in your situation.
