Just having the finishing touches done on our new pool. They came today with the ladder and it is stainless steel when we had requested a PVC ladder. The pool guys says it is stronger stainless steel than the usual. How long can we expect it to last before it starts to corrode? I don't believe it's stronger stainless steel and I think he just forgot to get a PVC ladder.

The better grades of stainless steel will be just fine in a SWG pool. There are some lower grades of stainless that do have problems, but they don't tend to be used for pool equipment any more in the US.
