ne1 use the Dirt Devil D1000?

I need something to get sand and silt from the bottom of the pool... hopefully something inexpensively.

I have a Polaris 65 that does an amazing job on the big stuff and most smaller stuff.

Someone on Ebay is selling the D1000 pretty cheap (has a bunch of them apparently).

Does it work? Anything else that does a good job in the sub $100 category?
