I went the route of draining my pool. After it is refilled what are the first steps to do it the right way? My first time around i knew NOTHING and of course algae took over and my budget left me to drain and start over. I didnt know i still needed chemicals even with a SWG. So im hoping for some help before i take it down.

First step is posting up a full set of results from one of the Recommended Test Kits ... just throw those test strips in the garbage now.

You know your FC and CYA will basically be 0. So get CYA dissolving and add bleach to maintain the FC until the SWG is running. Then add your salt to get in range and fire up the SWG.
