Too much salt... now how do I get rid of it?

I took some advice from the pool guy who apparently subscribes to bad math... My salt reading is 5500ppm and tastes like a salt lick. What is the recommended way to reduce the salt level? I assume by draining a portion of the water, but are there recommended ways for doing this?

haha, nice explanation. afaik, draining is the only way, but how you do it depends on your setup which didn't mention.

Tell your pool guy he messed up and make him do it AND he will have to pay for the replacement water.
