Just a quick introduction, we had a Intex 15x48 pool that lasted us for almost eight years before the liner finally gave out and wasn't worth repairing. At the time, we had a Intex sand filter, connected with the nipple adapters, that worked well, although, we were constantly fighting leaking adapters, breaking plunger valves, and dry rotting hoses. After going pool-less for a few years, we came across a Bestway 14x42 pool on sale at our local Kmart, and, impulse took over. That leads me to this forum, where I have enjoyed browsing all the threads and set ups, and, will have many questions to follow.
