Deck Jet Material??

Want to have this material around my deck jets replaced however i'm not sure what it is? Any ideas?

For whatever reason it deteriorated since last year.

Grout? Hydraulic cement?

Wouldn't put anything too wild in there in case you have to get the lid off the deck jet to replace/service the nozzle.

I'm making the assumption that the outer ring/cover stays in place during jet operation. If that's not true, disregard.....

• Carefully dig out all the old material
• Insert a thin Styrofoam backer rod to fill in the void - placed about 1/4" below the top surface
• Caulk with a good quality elastomeric or polyurethane caulk

This should allow future removal if needed and also provide a water resistant seal between the concrete deck and the deck jet.
