Pool skimmer equalizer port not in use and not plugged.

Hi,

I've confirmed that I have my main drains and skimmer on seperate suction lines to my pump. Therefore the second hole in the slimmer is not in use. Am I losing skimmer suction if the second hole is not plugged?

If it was not plugged or plumbed to something, you would be losing water. Likely it is fine and plugged already if the floor is plumbed to the pump.

It might be capped a little lower underground. If it is not capped/plugged and it is not plumbed to the bottom drain then it will LEAK a lot. There isn't anywhere else for it to go. You can stick a plumber snake, coat hanger or something in there to see if it is blocked.
