Maintaining TA in a new 35,000 gallon plaster pool

This is a salt water system that is about 9 months old. I need to add a quart of acid a day to maintain Ph. If I try to increase the TA my acid usage goes up. Do I have to maintain a minimum TA if I have no low ph problems?

No need to have a min TA unless below TA of 40 or so... I have mine between 50 and 60 and my PH stays around 7.6

Increase your TA with baking soda. It has little to no affect on pH.

Focus on your pH instead of it and TA. It's always going to be a roller coaster if you manipulate both, and doing so is seldom required.
