SLAM with Trichlor Tabs?

I'm in the process of SLAMMING my Pool and my CYA is very low, 25 range. I've been using 12.5% Bleach to shock the pool and maintain it at an FC of 10. I already added liquid stabilizer to up the CYA, but would need more to get it in the 30-40 range. Anyone add their thoughts on using trichlor tabs to up the CYA and increase FC? My PH is currently at 7.5 and TA is at 150. Or should I keep slamming and then start using the Trichlor to maintain FC once SLAM has been completed?

The tablets dissolve too slowly to effectively maintain the shock level FC. And they could skew your sense of how the SLAM is progressing.
