We just bought a 12 year old home that has a salt water pool and a Pool Pilot Digital system. I want to learn as much as I can. Forgive the novice question but the water is very soft and smooth but it seems as if people's fingers wrinkle very quick when swimming. Does this mean anything? I know it sounds strange but we have never had a pool before. I know it is at 100% purify right now. Thanks so much!!

Is your SWG system giving any high or low salt errors? Do you have a test available to test the salt level of the pool? How are you testing for proper sanitation, pH and other levels?

Yes. The only thing that came back was the water is a little hard. How can I lower the water hardness level?

Sorry. The salt level appears to be fine. 3400. Like I said, the only thing that was high was the water hardness.

The only way to lower CH is to drain pool water and replace with water that has a lower CH. However, if it is pool store testing, I would not trust the test results.
