Blue cloudy water?

Hello, my pool water is very blue but I can't see the bottom. I had algae pretty bad and have been fighting it for a couple weeks. Everything else looks clean now, but the water is too blue and not clear.

Free Chlorine 0.05
Salt 2900 ppm
CYA 10 (I just added four pounds about five days ago to bring it up)
ph 7.7

I've always just used bleach to schock it, but I've been putting a lot in every day and it isn't helping. Thanks for the help.

How are you testing, what is your CC and what is your CH? Also, how are you getting a FC of .05? For all practical purposes that is 0 ppm FC!
You still have algae. Get your FC up to 20 ppm and KEEP IT THERE by adding bleach as needed (perhaps 3 or 4 times a day) until the pool clears.
Also, click on the link in the upper right corner called pool school and read EVERYTHING. Then read it all a second time!

Actually, free chlorine is 0.50%. Sorry about that. I took it to the pool store to be tested. I'm not sure about the other ones you mentioned.

.5 is too low as well.

Pool School will have some detailed advice on chlorine levels. Yours should be around 3-5ppm.
