Test results - my pool is green- help please!

I forgot to put bleach in my pool night before last & woke up to a green pool. I got my test kit in & here are my results
FC - 7
CC - .5
TC - 7.5
CH - 100
TA - 120
CYA - 40
So what do I do now?

Test pH then dose it 7.2 and then SLAM. The sooner you start the quicker it will be. Follow the SLAM process and you will probably have it back by the holiday.

One question - your pool is Cloudy green right??

Yes it's cloudy green. Do I just test the pH with the k-1000 kit?

Yes, use the K-1000 kit. Later when you are Slamming and your FC is over 10, pH tests will not be accurate so it's important to get it low to start since most pool's pH rise with time.

Sounds like you have the TF-100 test kit?

My ph is 7.5 do I need to lower it?

7.2 is suggested for the Slam and I recommend lowering it. If you have muriatic acid (MA), it will a small addition then you can kick off the Slam. Depending on long your Slam takes it will give you good piece of mind.

If you don't have it on hand and don't want to wait, bump up to FC Slam target is 16 and just add enough MA in a few days to move it from 7.5 to 7.2, ~86 oz per Pool Math. Just remember that pH tests with FC over 10 ppm are not accurate.
