About how long does chlorine maintain its strength and what effect would storing it in a hot garage have on it?

I wouldn't buy over about a 2 week supply at a time myself. Directly on the concrete floor is better.

Roughly speaking, every 10F increase in temperature doubles the degradation rate of liquid chlorine (you can search TFP as there are multiple posts about LC shelf life). So you really don't want to store it in a hot garage.
