Hayward maxflo xl only runs on low speed

Greetings everyone,


I have a Hayward SP2310x152, two speed 1.5hp pump. Probably about two years old.
Just bought the house and trying to figure everything out.

Pump is controlled on a foot pressure switch that operates like so

1 - pump on low
2 - pump on high
3 - pump on high and blower on low
4 - pump off (i think) and blower on high

I would prefer to eventually rewire it so that the blower operates independently from the pump.....

the pump runs on low just fine...on high, a loud buzzing for 1 sec and then it is shut off.
Cleaned the basket, didnt feel anything around the impeller, contacted Hayward customer support with no luck.

any suggestions?

just heard back from Hayward tech support, they said "verify wiring correct and voltage to the pump is sufficient, if it is you have a bad motor"

dammit.

Knowing how two speed motors re wired, I am inclined to agree with them. Have you verified all connections are good and the proper voltages are present at the right times at the right places?
