Hayward Filter Cartridge End Cap Tear

I had my pool installed in August of 2015 and just completed my first cartridge cleaning. I noticed that two of my four cartridges have circumferential tears in the end cap. Not in the pleats or bands, in the hard rubber end cap on the top. This does not look normal, should hayward replace these as defective? Call my builder? Would love any advice from someone that might have seen this before.

I have a Hawaryd 5030.

If you are under warranty, then I would certainly call them and try to get them replaced.
