Installing a 26' round Intex above ground pool. I live in Southern California. I am looking to put some sort of Pad or Foam board between a layer of sand and the pool liner. Does anyone have any suggestions/advise?

Many of us have used the 3/4 inch foam from HD or lowes it works great

I just used sand.....raked it smooth, tamped it down smooth, and then liner right over that. Works great for me.

I have used Sand and the foam sheets. I prefer the foam sheets, it is great for a soft bottom that wont dent (kids love it), the sand worked good as well but not the sand is not soft like the foam. It is a personnel choice you don't have to put anything other than the tarp
