Question on a cover reel

So, I'm tired of the leaves/flowers falling in our pool. I know I need a cover. My question is with a reel..
We have a rectangle shaped pool & a diving board on one end, stairs on the other. Where would you put the reel? Or would you suggest just making strip's to more easily manage taking them off the surface?

they have some reels that are short to go under the diving board and the others have wheels on them to move them once rolled up... I think under the diving board is easier, no one has to move it..
