Auto Ignition on a Hayward H250 Gas Heater

This is our first year with our new pool and we have used the heater about 5 times. The first 2 times were in late April, and when we tuned the heater on, it ignited within 3 - 5 seconds and had no issues. Recently, the past 2 times, when we turn the heater on, it takes about 3 minutes to ignite, unless, I turn it off quickly, and then turn it back on......it will then kick on within the 5 seconds. I have questioned this with Hayward and I am still awaiting an answer. Has anyone experienced this issue with this unit or similiar?

Thanks.

Question for you "Sparkmaster"....when you say low or high setting, are you referring to the temperature setting or something else within the control panel/unit? All I have done to date is turn the unit on to "pool" and then set the temperature where desired. Thanks.
