Intellichlor ic40 Plate broke off.

So one of the center plate broke off in my IC40. I assume the chlor Cell is toasted after 5 years of service. Before I get a new Cell at $600 2 Questions

1. Any way to repair it?

2. Anyone tried retrofit to Intex Krystal Clear Saltwater system at way lower price?

1. I have not heard of anyone repairing one, but I would never say it has not been done

2. at 14000 gallons you would need 3 or 4 intex SWG lined up with hoses going into your pool to keep up, not something I would recommend.. and they would not connect and run from your automation
