Installing fountains on pool returns

I wanted to install Artic Rain pool fountains (Affordable, Attractive Pool Cooling System) on my return jets to cool pool water. I believe this uses a standard return jet that is threaded. My pool has just a tube as the return, no threads.

Is there a way to install these?

Looks good, does it cool the pool down?

However, My pool does not have that threaded wall return for the Polaris Universal Fitting Wall Collar. That is what I am trying to figure out. What is my solution?

It cooled ours down 5 degrees overnight the first time we used it.

I've read here about folks finding ways to adapt those outlets (I'll ask Richard the Expert as I believe he's responded before on this problem) and you can also ask at Swimming Pool Supplies, Pool Safety Cover, Swimming Pool Covers, Swimming Pool Pumps, Pool Pump Parts - INYOPools.com

What type of opening is your return? size? picture?

It is a 1 inch or 1.5 inch angled tube that is flush with the plaster. There is no threads or anything. Looks like a pvc tube.

Can I insert some smaller tube into the tube and give it a threaded opening? The problem I see is the tube is at an angle and not perpendicular with the plaster wall.
