Intex Easy Set UV Protection for Inflatable Ring?

This is our second 18' Easy Set Intex pool Our previous lasted 3 or 4 years until the inflatable ring was destroyed by the sun. We are on the second year of the new pool and thought I'd do some research to try and make the ring last a little longer. Has anyone tried any type of UV protectant on the ring to try and save it from the sun? Is there something specially made for it?
