I have gone through a few "solar" pool covers. The covers as a whole are pretty strong. The problem is when one person *cough* covers the pool at night , over time it's hard to avoid stressing and/or tearing the leading edge.
Does anyone have a solution to strengthening that edge and attaching a pull cord?
I think any kind of tape would just degrade and make a mess. Perhaps a mechanical attachment? Like a 16' small-diameter piece of PVC with a slot cut in it? I am having a tough time coming up with a material and fasteners that are buoyant and will stand up to UV, salt and chlorine.
Has anyone tackled this before?
