Help!!!! My autofill is not working. I lift the float up and down and get no water flowing from it at all. What could it be? I filled my pool a week ago and I have just noticed the problem.

Check to see if water is turned on. I put a length of pvc in mine for winter thats almost to the cover. I open the valve for a few seconds and turn it off. Wet spot around the area shows water is coming out. The float assembly could be bad, unless its brand new.

I unsrewed the the entire spickett and the line is dry. I have an ingraound pool, where would I turn the water on for the auto fill? About two feet from it there is the sprinkler main valve. Will that turn the water off or on for the autofill?
The only way to find out is to try it. When the autofill was installed there are many places it might have been plumbed to.
