It was a hard fought battle yesterday and today:
Day 1 T1: 7PM - tested at 0.5-1.0ppm, added 5 gallons of 8.25% Bleach to reach 28ppm
Day 1 T2: 8:45PM - tested at 2.5ppm! W.T.F! added another 5 gallons of 8.25% Bleach to reach 28ppm
Day 1 T3: 10:45PM - tested at 13.0ppm ... heading in the right direction. Added another 3 gallons of 8.25% Bleach to reach 28ppm
Day 2 T4: 8AM - tested 8.5ppm ... no bad considering the time involved. Added 5 gallons of 6% Bleach (I cleaned the store out of 8.25% the previous night) to reach 28ppm
Day 2 T5: 10:45AM - tested 26.5ppm ... starting to take hold! Added 50oz. of 6% Bleach to reach 28ppm, turned on Chlorinator at 100%
Day 2 T6: 12:15PM - tested 35.0ppm ... oops, overshot it! Turned off Chlorinator.
Day 2 T7: 2:15PM - tested 31.0ppm ... turned Chlorinator on at 45% thinking that 100% adds 7ppm and off at 0% loses 4ppm.
So 45% should allow it to drift down losing about 1ppm over each 2 hour period from now till sundown. I then plan on running it at 15% over night just to ensure it doesn't flatline and start losing the battle. Thoughts? Suggestions?
